Christopher Huckabee

Huckabee's term on the board expired on Jan. 31, 2021.

Mr. Christopher M. Huckabee of Fort Worth was appointed by Gov. Greg Abbott to the Board of Regents of the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø on Jan. 22, 2015. He was named chairman of the board on March 21, 2019, during a special called meeting where he was nominated and affirmed by a unanimous vote by the board.

Huckabee served the board as vice chairman and as a member of the Facilities Committee, Finance and Administration Committee, Academic, Clinical and Student Affairs Committee and Investment Advisory Committee.

Huckabee assumed board vice chairman duties on Oct. 8, 2018, during a special called meeting where he was nominated and affirmed by a unanimous vote by the board. He served as vice chair until he was elected chairman of the board.

Huckabee is the CEO of Huckabee Architecture, Engineering and Program Management, a 300-person firm dedicated to educational design. 

Gov. Rick Perry twice appointed Huckabee to the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Higher Education Coordinating Board where he chaired the Agency Operations Committee. Huckabee is a past board member for Cook Children’s Health Foundation and the Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth.

He is also Chair Emeritus of the Board of the North Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Community Foundation and is active in the Fort Worth Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

In 2002, Huckabee established the Timothy Terry Memorial Endowed Scholarship for Architectural Students at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech University in memory of an employee and friend. In 2007, he established the Huckabee Student Lounge in the College of Architecture at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech University. Huckabee also is a past board member of the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech Foundation.

He received a bachelor's degree in architecture from Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech University in 1991 and is a registered architect in Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø, Colorado, New Mexico, Arkansas and Georgia. Huckabee also holds National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certification (NCARB).

Huckabee and his wife, Robin, a 1992 interior design graduate of Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech University, have three children: Andrew, a graduate of Trinity University, Mason Elizabeth, who attends Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech University, and Harris Anne, a student at Baylor. He and Robin are members of the Âé¶¹¹Ù꿉۪s Chancellor’s Council.
