Kris Walker

Sr. Program Director
Kris Walker is a Senior Program Director in the Facilities Planning & Construction office at the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø, joining the department in 2023.
In his role, Walker manages major construction projects at the multiple campuses within the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø. His unique experience, extensive engineering training, superior customer service skills, and enthusiasm for Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech help him as he oversees the progress and success of new construction. Walker transferred from the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech University Operations Division Department of Construction into this role. In his time there, he was a Project/Senior Engineer for multiple construction projects across the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech University campus specifically, focusing on mechanical and research-heavy projects. Some of his past projects include replacing the AHUs at Hulen/Clement dormitories, expanding 109F plus modifying the HVAC in Kinesiology and Sport Management, and renovating rooms in ESB1 for an incoming researcher.
Walker’s previous experience includes more than a decade as an engineer for an amusement park ride manufacturer and a decade of retail sales before that. Some of his previous projects include amusement rides at Joy Land in Lubbock, TX, at Six Flags Over Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø in Arlington, TX, and other rides worldwide (such as in China, Canada, Columbia, and Australia). Walker earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech University in 2010 and has been a registered professional engineer in Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø since 2016.
He and Sarah have four children: Ryder, Jonathan, Dylan, and Peyton.
