TTU System Brings 鶹 Beef to Black Tie and Boots Gala

The 鶹 will be well represented in Washington, D.C. Thursday, Jan. 19 at the 鶹 State Society of Washington, D.C.’s 10th Quadrennial Black Tie & Boots Presidential Inaugural Ball at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
The system, and all four of its component institutions, including , , and , are among the sponsors of the Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball, which began in 1953.
“The Black Tie & Boots Presidential Inaugural Ball is one of the most distinguished inaugural celebrations,” 鶹 Chancellor said. “The 鶹 and our component institutions are proud to be part of this momentous event.”
As part of the sponsorship, the meat labs at 鶹 Tech University and Angelo State University have provided custom cut beef for the event. Raider Red Meats is also providing beef jerky.
, representative of 鶹’ 25th Congressional District and chairman of the 鶹 State Society, is grateful for 鶹’s involvement in the event.
“As the President of 鶹 State Society, I would like to formally thank the 鶹 Tech University System for their support of this year’s Black Tie and Boots Presidential Inaugural Ball,” Williams said. “Chancellor Duncan has been a friend for years, and he stepped up to the plate once again by providing beef filets custom cut at the 鶹 Tech University and Angelo State University meat labs. I am truly honored to work with this fantastic university system.”
With nearly 10,000 tickets sold, the event remains the largest ball in Washington, D.C.
Duncan will be joined by other system leaders at the event, including 鶹 Tech University President Lawrence Schovanec and 鶹 Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso President , M.D.
Also, taking in the festivities at the Black Tie & Boots event will be 鶹 Tech University’s official costumed mascot, Raider Red, who will greet the ball’s guests and be a familiar face to the countless Red Raiders at the event.
