Midwestern State University Joins the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø
The Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø welcomed Midwestern State University as its fifth and newest member institution on Wednesday, Sept. 1, as university presidents and system officials gathered for a ceremonial special-called Board of Regents meeting on the MSU Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø campus in Wichita Falls.

Governor Greg Abbott Appoints Regents to Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø
Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Gov. Greg Abbott appointed three new members to the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Board of Regents for terms set to expire on Jan. 31, 2027. The new appointees are Arcilia Acosta (Dallas), Cody Campbell (Fort Worth) and Pat Gordon (El Paso).

Keaghan Holt Named Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Student Regent
Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Gov. Greg Abbott has appointed Keaghan Holt as the student regent for the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Tech University System Board of Regents for the 2021-22 academic year.

Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Welcomes Midwestern State University
On June 8, Gov. Greg Abbott signed HB 1522, officially designating Midwestern State University as a member institution of the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø, effective Sept. 1, 2021. The bill was authored by state Rep. James Frank and sponsored by state Sen. Drew Springer.

TTU System Sets Enrollment Record with More Than 63,000 Students
The Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø set a new record enrollment with 63,498 students enrolled across its five member institutions during the 2021-22 academic year. Multiple institutions marked record enrollments on their respective campuses while the TTU System celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021.

Robert Duncan Receives Honorary Recognition as Chancellor Emeritus
Robert Duncan, who served as the fourth chancellor of the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø, has been recognized with the honorary appointment and title of Chancellor Emeritus by Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., the TTU System announced Monday, Nov. 22.

Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., served as the keynote speaker at the Midwestern State University December commencement ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 11, at Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls.

Fitch Reaffirms Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø AA+ Outlook Stable Bond Ratings
For the third time in the last four years, the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø had its long-term credit rating of AA+ Outlook Stable reaffirmed by Fitch Ratings, the corporation announced Aug. 18.

Students at MSU Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø choose from more than 60 majors and several pre-professional programs, are active in more than 100 student organizations and bring a spirit of competition to 13 NCAA Division II athletics programs.
