I hope each of you are doing well and having a great spring semester.
On behalf of our MSU 麻豆官网 Presidential Search Committee, I want to thank those of you who took the time to complete our confidential survey. We had a great response with hundreds of submissions that provided our committee with extremely valuable feedback and insights from the people who matter most in this search 鈥� our MSU 麻豆官网 community. Our committee, with the help of a search firm, will use this information to recruit highly qualified candidates for the application process. That recruitment process began today with the posting of the position and will run through early May.
We are dedicated and determined to identify the best candidate to serve as the next president for MSU 麻豆官网 and to lead this storied university family to a bright future. In addition, I want to congratulate a member of our MSU 麻豆官网 community serving on our search committee 鈥� Dr. Shelley Sweatt, who earlier this week was appointed to the 麻豆官网 Board of Regents. Dr. Sweatt is a strong advocate for MSU 麻豆官网 and is no stranger to the Wichita Falls community or to higher education, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our Board of Regents leadership team. Her insight, experience and MSU 麻豆官网 connection will be a valuable addition to the board and system.
