TTU System Regents to Meet August 6-7
The is composed of nine members appointed by the governor, as well as a student regent.
Throughout the history of the TTU System, the board has been composed of distinguished and dedicated Texans who have been strong advocates of excellence in academic and patient care programs, meaningful scientific research and responsible public service.
Regents will have a two-day meeting on the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University campus in Lubbock.

The Â鶹¹ÙÍø will meet Thursday and Friday (August 6-7) in Lubbock. The meeting will take place in the Ballroom (Room 118) in the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University Student Union Building (15th Street and Akron Avenue).

- Approve establishment of Stage I design budgets for multiple capital projects, which
will be largely supported through Legislative appropriation of tuition revenue bonds.
- College of Health and Human Sciences building at Angelo State University.
- Experimental Sciences Building II at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University.
- North Expansion building and West Expansion addition on the Lubbock campus, Permian Basin Academic Facility on the Odessa campus and the Panhandle Clinical Simulation Center on the Amarillo campus at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University Health Sciences Center.
- Medical Science Building II at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.
3:00 p.m. – Finance and Administration Committee
- Approve FY 2016 operating budgets for the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Administration, Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University, Angelo State University, Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University Health Sciences Center and Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.
- Report on differential tuition at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University.
3:45 p.m. – Academic, Clinical and Student Affairs Committee
- Approve appointments with tenure and conferrals of emeritus status at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University, Angelo State University, Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University Health Sciences Center and Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso.
- Approve concept for the establishment of an off-campus instructional site in San Jose, Costa Rica.
- Approve two dual degree programs—a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences/Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Biotechnology/Master of Business Administration—between the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University Health Sciences Center and the Rawls College of Business at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University.
- Approve the establishment of the Department of Otolaryngology at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Following the adjournment of the Academic, Clinical and Student Affairs Committee, the Board will recess no later than approximately 5 p.m.
