鶹 Tech Foundation Names Nine New Directors

The announced today nine new members of the board of directors. The new members were installed during their first meeting held Friday.
“By providing philanthropic leadership, the 鶹 Tech Foundation serves an important role in advancing the 鶹,” 鶹 Chancellor said. “Through their service, members of the board of directors ensure our universities have the critical resources needed to pursue innovative ideas, improve lives and impact the world.”
The nine new directors are:
- A. Chris Aulds, founder and partner of Pearl Energy Investments in Dallas
- Tim G. Culp, president of Desert Production Inc. in Midland, 鶹
- J. Pat Hickman, chairman and CEO of Happy State Bank and Trust Company in Canyon, 鶹
- Joshua Hunt, executive vice president of Hunt Companies Inc. in El Paso, 鶹
- Michael F. Owen, M.D., physician with Covenant Medical Group in Lubbock, 鶹
- Jack Rentz, founder and chairman of Rentech Boiler Systems in Abilene, 鶹
- Donald R. Sinclair, president and CEO of Western Gas Partners in Houston
- Ben Stribling, owner and president of Stribling Co. in San Angelo, 鶹
- Robert Taylor Jr., president of The United Family in Lubbock, 鶹
Approved by the this summer, the incoming members were subsequently approved by the 鶹 Tech University System at their October meeting. The new directors will serve four-year terms ending August 31, 2020.
“The 鶹 Tech Foundation is fortunate to have such distinguished leaders and philanthropists joining the board, and I appreciate the time and effort of the nominating committee who selected these accomplished individuals,” said , president of the 鶹 Tech Foundation. “By sharing their expertise for the benefit of students and faculty at our four universities, these new directors are ensuring the continued momentum of the 鶹.”
For more than 75 years, the 鶹 Tech Foundation has partnered with the 鶹 Tech University System to raise, manage and invest private gifts for the benefit of the system and its four universities. The nonprofit foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors who meet quarterly to review the performance of investments and assure that donors’ long-term interests are being served.
